My daughter knew these girls. She knew they were going to skip school. Her last words to the girls was, "Drive Carefully!"

There are still a lot of unanswered questions on that terrible day. Does your daughter know the reason why they were skipping school and why they were in that area?.

For the record, Corinne was not skipping school, she had two spares and was going to the chiropractors office. She was taking the two girls to Lac la Biche to visit Melissa's boyfriend at her friends' request at the same time. I know for a fact that Corinne was a very careful driver, the road conditions were the cause of the accident.

It doesn't really matter why they were on the road that dday. Only hindsight tells us they shouldn't have been. And that isn't useful at all. We lost two beautiful girls that day - a day that they were just being girls and living their lives. No one knows when our decisions may lead us to something we can't take back but you keep living. These girls embraced life at every step and filled all our lives with smiles, kindness, excitement, and the gift of themselves. They also showed us that in their death we all need to cherish each other and to be a little kinder to one another. I wonder if the Mom from Vernon's daughter told her that.

i kind of new corinne but not melissa. yes i am sad they are gone no one deserves to die that way. and so young too. but who are we to wish they were back again..and not gone..a guy i know told me that we have no right wishing they were here again. just so we dont have to cope with the loss. it sounds evil but its true. it is so selfish like he said to want them back..you really think they would want to come back after seeing whats up there? when they died and at their funeral it was their time is what he told me. and i believe him..he told me this because i questioned there death. i dont anymore..im happy for them..they both deserve the best.

I work for the Lac La Biche Ambulance service. Nothing the drivers could have done would have made a diferrence. The County didn't clear the roads. I really miss Corinne and Melissa. Corinne happy birthday. Serena and I had a little party for you on friday, it was just the two of us, but we made choclate chip cookies and watched movies. We miss you hun.

Corinne was my cousin and we had lots of fun as we were younger we laughed and did so many stupid things. i beleive that Corinne was not skipping skool i know she was going to lac la biche to see her friend Melissas boyfriend and she was going to her doctors appointment. i dont blame anyone for the accident the roads were really bad that day and even at my school alot of people got stuck in the parkiinglot. my parents were on a trip to cuba when this happened it was the worst day of my life and i give all my condolences to my Auntie and Unlce also my cousins, and her boyfriend. i know that they are in a better place now and they are both together.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have started a group on facebook for anyone that would like to share there memories and or pictures of Corinne. The group is called Remembering Corinne Van Hees. You just have to go to facebook.com and join. Then you can join the group. The only thing we can really do now is share are memories of her and remember how she touched all of our lives. I love you so much Corinne.
