Passive solar heat is misunderstood every home has windows that collect solar heat (100wpersqft) which must be fought by 100 watts of A/C at cost. when solar control films are installed on glass, up to 80% less solar gain comes in.. reducing huge the A/C required in any building. Blinds, drapes or curtains just trap the solar heat behind them, creating 100 deg. temps. that rise to ceilings and migrate around rooms, especially if a fan is on. Much has to be learned on solving passive solar problems first then buildings can get ready for active or photo-voltaics= do not put cart in front of horse, first solve the huge A/C problems with peak demand hydro problems in summer. this is easy to do many major buildings in Kelowna already have solved their problems with solar films... more info at up coming solar Passive careers & public seminars... free call toll-free 1-888-324-8511 --- solargord Kelowna

Be careful, very very careful of this so called technology. Do your homework before embarking on sticking solar film on your windows and expecting the savings that this guy says you will have.

-- of coarse this person has never met me or does have no explaination for what they talk about, they have come from it looks like abottsford to a Kelowna forum because of why? can you answer & what homework did you do skukum? did you learn any faults, or downsides to solar capture & control systems? what would they be-inquiring minds want to know? just what did you find out eh? come on now you wanted to dance show us you can otherwise sit and learn grasshopper... so far to go eh! I will call you little "sunspot" good luck - what do you know eh?

You my dear put blue window film on the doors of my business. I absolutely know what i am talking about. I may not understand the ins and outs of alternative energy or solar recapture, but i understand shoddy workmanship and exaggerated claims. You are a snake-oil salesman.

--Now tell me dear - is your finger better now? was it broken? did you loose my same toll free number for 15 years?--was their ever at any time a phone call to me to say you where dissatisfied with blu/silver? Did you buy it for the color? You have said you do not understand the in's & out's of solar & I accept that & agree. So hundreds of engineer's even those at NASA who helped develop the product to reduce heat from burning up space stuff & naughts in fact thousands would be interested in your "absolutely know about" opinion. The comptrollers at 100's of major buildings like Best Westerns, City Halls, Home Depot's Days Inns, Casino"s all who saw capital costs saved within 2 years or less. Some Like Best Western Kelowna called in 1 year & half to tell me personally how much & fast their return was. So You my dear have cracked the case- I wonder if they all lost my phone # to nobody else could fiqure it out but you a admitted "not know it all on subject" & could not phone to tell me your pain & loss of faith...but you can call me a ?? Na ya got the wrong guy & why did you buy snake oil the last time? what do you use it for? I got questions to eh?-- That biz closed in less than a year where you able to check anything on costs/savings return or R/U nasty?

What are you talking about? I am not talking about a product that is 15 years old, and whats more my business is still up and running. You are a good talker, but when it comes to the goods you are full of hot air. As for calling you...NO WAY...I had enough of your talk when you were here.

-- You said I put blue film on your windows, where was that in Kelowna? That biz went out of biz- If you can not phone with a inquiry or to let me know anything- you have really nothing but a fake story like dolby makes up. So who is the story teller? If you didn't understand ask? if you just want attention - ask? But be truthful & help us solve problems, like we do- no time for wasting efforts on fairy tales & filled with other frustration's of some folks eh?

kelowna B.C. has the sun & new hi-teck production methods are making photo-voltaic systems that produce electricity from the suns rays much cheaper to produce (about $2.00 per watt) unlike the $10.00 per watt it has been for years. That will/could allow solar farms to be set up around South-Okanagan Valley like some already installed in Europe. Had a meeting with the manufacturers last week & although world economic situation has changed the timing a little, plans still seem on stream. Negotiations for land sites are still ongoing, although the price is being re-negotiated down, so I hear. Still projects like this can keep Kelowna at the Solar City of the year level for a time to come... stay tuned .... lots more to come.. skygord at Solar City -- Canada of America

-- some mistakenly call it "Window Tinting" when it is actually a passive solar capture & control system when the right metalized sputtered films are used. Reducing up to 80% of incoming solar gain & providing great insulating (U value's & R) for year round savings.. in 35 years we have installed miles of it onto hundreds of major & minor buidings, city halls, schools, multi-nationals yes this is the greatest non-electric A/C the world has really never known about.. But every home-office-R/V should be involved & training is available -- leave a message or call 1-888-324-8511 for more on our NON-Electric A/C it is for you too eh??

There is a very good reason why not everybody wants it. The world isn't always as attractive seen through a coloured film. Plus if my local Bowling alley is an example it looks terrible.

-- There is NO reason's to leave uninsulated Glass uninsulated.. You sure miss the mark when U miss- In your town of Hope- The smart Biz's which U-R not one of took the time to research our 35 years of experience & your GM dealer/3 eatery's/6 motels/ Hope City Hall/University & the Bowling Alley all decided to shatter-resist their glass-(safety/lower insurance) reduce the heat build up in the lobby of bowling alley which I never ever saw you at?? We bowled there, played ping-pong, shot pool. even played chess their?? NOT once did U show up eh?? So where is your comment coming from.. As a Elvis historian U-R illiterate & don't even go near Solar anything? All the councellors/engineers/mayer & all the BiZ's leaders of Hope are wrong & again who thinks he is right?? Zero's add up to Zero's no matter how many words U use ... Wrong again.. consistently eh? 1200+ wrong unfactual, false names, posts that add nothing to Zero.. there is much more but U won't get it either?? Passive Solar is the cheapest fastest pay-back investment a homeowner/landlord/ can make-- Well Proven - invented by NASA & U know better than them too eh??

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Sagittarius

Be careful about what you eat and drink today, my prancing Archer. Your body is in a sensitive state, so be well advised and steer clear of anything that might upset you, or to which you're sometimes allergic. Avoid anyone who's a one-man germ factory, in case a few bugs happen to jump out and over to you. Right now, you could do without it.
