Maybe Mr. Campen will think twice before obstructing the police. He was at the centre of police attention the same week. He was going to play the hero and save a woman from being arrested. It is possible to be physically assaulted by the police but most of the time people like Mr. Campen put themselves in that position. The police are allowed to use force to make an arrest. If you don't like the way an arrest takes place call the Public Complaints Commission don't start laying hands on the police.

Really!!! So do you really believe that TWO police officers needed to lay a beating like that on the man before he could be cuffed?? I have a great respect for the job our mounties do, and can only imagine what our society would be without them, but that level of violence is un-acceptable.

Yeah people can sit there and say all they want. I feel sorry for ones who think he deserved it. If this was one of your family member's, you certainly would not be talking like that. I'm very sorry you all feel that way, and my heart truly hurts for you. Buck up and be real people with real concern and hearts instead of trashing some one who's life was almost on the line. You sit there and can talk away thinking you know what your saying, but in the end its pointless meaningless words you speak coming from your mouths. No one deserves what happened to him. Get over your selfish ways and open your actual hearts, and try to act more like a human instead of your noses up in the air. Pretty sad to hear some of this sick posts. Guess its what our world is truly coming too eh His whole family can read every disgusting word said on here, and i'm very embarrassed for you guys. Tom Campen is a good man, don't judge someone, instead judge yourself.

This "man" is constantly in the police spotlight, he is a manipulative drug pushing child who craves trouble. He sneaks around in the shadows stealing and wrecking peoples' property but if he needs the RCMP for his own personal motives you'll see him on the phone or running to the cop shop demanding they do something for him. Ask anyone who actually knows him and they'll tell you hes just white trash and needs to be taught a lesson and grow up. Obviously i don't like him but i'm not biased, i've watched his greasy face plague this area ever since he moved his family to Creston and i will tell you he deserves every bit of what he got and it should've happened a couple dozen times by now. I'm glad someone finally showed him that he can't use his big voice and intimidation tactics to get in people's faces. He DID punch the cop, he DID obstruct justice. Only a couple weeks prior he left bruises on another woman's arm when she tried to break up a fight where Tom's two trashy barfly bitches ganged up on a 100lb woman. Believe me, as a watchful Creston Citizen, TOM CAMPEN is a parasite and should be locked up for life.

I used to be in law enforcement and can relate to what you say.It seems the trouble making bottom feeders are always the ones to cry like babies when they get arrested.Of course they did not resist and the mean old cops just beat on them for no reason. There is always dozens of lowlifes that side with each other to condemn the police for doing their jobs.No scum bucket ever got roughed up unless it was absolutely called for.Thank God for all the decent people that see through the lies and support the police.

I've known Tom for several years. He is a decent guy when your on his good side. As soon as he doesnt need you for something, he turns on you. Whether its sneaking on to your property to steal or damage your belongings, or trying to go to the cops saying you did something illegal.
If your his girlfriend he intimidates you until your scared to leave him.
He is known for praying on the weak, including guys that are half his age, and pregnant girls that are just waiting outside of a 7-11.... because they look like they need to be pushed around.

This guy has been nothing but trouble for this small town. I think he should stay in Cranbrook. The cops did their job. If you asualt an officer.. he can take you down forcefully.
Read the Creston Valley Newspaper to get better details before you stand up for trash.

Wait till the video comes out showing him blocking then assaulting the officer. The cop had to be forceful to protect himself and be able to cuff Thomas.

News flash there 'Hun'..any person using force in Canada is guided by the Charter of Rights and Freedoms (Charter) and the applicable sections of the Criminal Code of Canada (Code). I sure hope this character does not actually believes that the unaccountable brutalizing of hated persons is of new thought! Time for reflection there Hun - walk awhile in the readings of Mr. Hitler. As a person with all this law enforcement experience, one would hope that you understand what rule of law means. Another news flash - it does not mean that men of uniform are granted a god like approach to enforcing the law. Unless Creston exists in a valley of void, there is this thing called the courts and persons of respect and experience...these persons, Hun, are called judges! You bet these persons of the law are needed, however, what keeps law enforcement on the right track is this thing called ' filing a use of force report'. Creston, beware of people like ' Hun on the Hunt for bad guys'

It is my opinion that no one has the right to critisize the police unless they themselves have been put in a life or death situation. The police experience this regularly. If you do not like the police, the next time you are in trouble call a hippy for help.

That's a real intelligent response there Hun. A lot of thought must have gone into that statement. Maybe I could suggest that you shock your friends and actually read a little about law and order - the code - the charter - use of force - police act, and just maybe you could explain to them that when force is used it must be balanced against the threat faced. This mentality of judge - jury - and executioner has no place in Canadian Law. Another news flash there Hun, law enforcement will agree with what I am trying to have you understand. Take a little time out and educate yourself.

I will assume that you are familiar with the Policing Standards and Audits section. Perhaps consider that when identifying issues of concern you are actually assisting our law enforcement in altering and / or adding to procedures to eliminate, reduce or mitigate risk. To be of the thought that our law enforcement community would want anything less is the worst criticism one can put forth.

All I see on here, are people who disgust me. If this was one of your family members you would be backing them up. I see on here people who have issue's in the past with tom that "Obviously" cant move on from. You all bark but have no bite. Selfish inconsiderate people. Ya back up the two rcmp officers that have interogated many people, caused havoc with friends I know, and family. That one rcmp officer is a sack of sh*t and ya I said it. Im so tired of people defending cops who are criminal. Acts, codes, laws made of number sections....... wow what ever happened to charging a cop as a person???... What he carries a badge so that makes him a good person???? Police brutality is WORLD WIDE. There is no reason to be beaten at all by ANYONE. Its all over and here you guys post defending crap on two cops who deserve jail time. Well good for all of you guys posting being citizens of creston.... be proud of your ignorance. You say you know tom but im pretty sure lots of people have a lot to say about you guys too. Dont act high above someone. I can see just by your brutal posts how you truly are in real life. Very sad.
