Anyone who is thinking of dealing with the Academy of Learning, Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton, Princeton, Kamloops, et al. campuses beware! The owners Gillian and Randell Ball of Cranbrook are crooks and liars. They don't provide their student with the education they promise and they cheat and lie to their employees depriving them of pay and commission.

Whatever you do STAY AWAY AND DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH ACADEMY OF LEARNING IN KELOWNA....YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

[Frustrated in Kansas City]

The worst employer in Kansas City is American Consultants! Not a reputable firm at all. Not only do they not have jobs after you register with them they can't keep internal employees either. The turn over is so high in their office that you will never talk to the same person twice.

Something Similar, but with the company name. Extreme-Europe.com or Extreme IT (Europe) Limited based in UK.
Extreme-Europe.com or Extreme IT (Europe) Limited, a Birmingham and Hyderabad/Chennai based company has been taking work permit holders and HM Revenue and customs for a ride.
This is about the company extreme-europe.com which is a selfish one man recruitment agency which is in the business of sponsoring work permits against BIA regulations. Extreme-Europe.com practices Bonded labour in todays age. They actively put adverts in various job portals like jobserve/ naukri.com and other free websites scouting for IT professionals who dont belong to the UK. They say that they sponsor work permits and ask the applicants to submit their educational certificates and passport. They will not return your documents for over 6 months, so that the prospective employee is at their mercy. When the employee arrives in the UK, they will be paid a paltry £800 per month, whereas in the work permit application and the employment contract, they will mention £30,000 per annum. This company changes employment contracts at will. All of a sudden salary reductions will be announced. You might not see your payslip for 3-4 months until you beg for it. When they pay the employee, they will say that the company takes care of National insurance and PAYE Income tax. Extreme-Europe does not pay taxes and are today getting in trouble with various agencies such as Border and Immgration, Revenue and customs for all the problems they have created so far. One of work permit holder got their HSMP/PBS tier 1 application rejected as their payslips were not up to the mark, thanks to Extreme Europe. Your payslips will not match with your bank statement. It will be suggested that they pay the salary in 2 chunks to a seperate bank account. This is not a corporation, but a one man army running this show from his house. There is a small room rented in one IT park. All this is to only eyewash the Border and immigration agency into believing that this is a big company. In fact, it is only a recruitment agency which places its work permit holders on jobs piggybacking on other recruitment agencies or by applying for jobs in jobserve and cwjobs. They dont have any clients. For example Macmillan was never a client and there are people to vouch for this.
Their Specialties
1) Screw our Work permit holders. We only recruit overseas workers from India. IMMIGRATION and work related fraud is their speciality
2) Recruit Gullible “UK resident wannabes” from Asia
3) We only recruit Anyone who can be taken for a ride
4) We like Anyone who believes that this is a big corporation
5) Extreme-europe will passionately screw Revenue and customs by tax avoidance. They will pay employees without deducting Tax or NI.
6) We passionately impound passports and documents of our work permit holders so that we can enslave them and keep them at our mercy.

Its my real story about extreme(it)europe. I also face the same problem, its a fraud company. Since Extreme(IT)Europe name is got spoiled, they have renamed the company to INTELEX SYSTEMS LIMITED, so please be careful. Dont join INTELEX SYSTEMS LIMITED/INSPIRON TECHNOLOGIES LTD. They will pay you a less salary. They will not put you into project, they will keep you simply on bench, if you say I will quit, they that you need to pay 125% of the salary he has paid already. No tax will be deducted, NO NI will be paid. You career will be spoiled. Please cautious guys.

Thompson Rivers U is the worst employer in my 30 years of employment. The place is a diseased cesspool in more ways than one.

Management work the already hardworking, middle class employees like dogs and pay them shit. Not to mention all of the toxic work environments both physically and mentally that have staff dropping like flies from disease.

Meanwhile Faculty and Management rake in the big bucks and the union sits around sucking their thumbs!

Anyone thinking of workin for Risa Culp-mccray as an attendant for her father beware!!!!! She will cheat you out of hours!!!! And when confronted she will tell you that the other attendant owes you because she gave them your money!!!!! She has no concept of how workers get paid for time worked, she believes you should come in early and work for her for free!!!! She's a liar and a cheat!!!! Google her and you will she that it was proven by the courts and was suspended from practicing law! That came from the ohio state board! She was publicly disciplined!!!!! I wish i would have known that info before i started wit her so thats why i'm puttin this warning out because i got cheated!!!!!!!!

The worst employer in Kelowna, BC is a place called The Lodging Company. They operate a call center and sell lodging and accomodations in Western Canada, Quebec and the United States..

The whole company is run by idiots and it's a sweatshop operation where you have to sell $ 17,000 in gross sales by your third month or else, they fire you !

Every day that you work there, someone gets fired and no longer works there and the stress is horrible, as computers and phones are always breaking down and there's no parking for employees.

I made about $ 2000 in sales in my first week, yet I got fired for no apparent reason ! Just bullsh*t...
