China is finding the once friendly ground of Southeast Asia bumpy going, with anger against Chinese claims to disputed islands, once reliable ally Myanmar flirting with democracy and renewed American attention to the region.

Yes, the senile Marxists of the Chinese Communist Party have really fahked-up this time.
This could end the regime, if it is dumb enough to attack and is quickly trounced, as is the likely scenario from just about every military specialist on earth!
Their only alternative is to back down with their tail between their legs like a whupped dog!
Either way, the gulf between CCP "regime greatness propaganda" and what is actually going on in the real world is now a huge, unmistakable chasm.
People in China are going to realize how badly the Communist Party has scammed their country.
I would not want to be a Chinese Communist Party member on the mainland when THAT happens!

Since 1991, China's relations with Southeast Asia have
moved from an alliance of convenience with the Association
of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) against Vietnam,
Cambodia and Laos to close and multi-dimensional
interaction with an expanded 10-member ASEAN and with each
of the association's member states (in addition to the
above-mentioned trio, the group now includes Myanmar
alongside founding members Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the
Philippines, Singapore and Thailand).

Hey! You can't use the word "boring" in relation to communists.

They won't get the message. The phrase "mind-numbingly hollow" would be better understood.

Anyway "boring" is almost complimentary in their case.

Cambodia got enough war, the world knows it. Hate to see Cambodia tries to solve other country problem while it tries solve its own economy/problem at home.

I hope Cambodia is being safe and secured this way for a long time.

Hope this is only the issue between Vietcongs and China.

China, you don't worry. We won't have the Ho Chi Ming's trail for the Vietcong to hide this time. Just between you and the Vietcong. OK!

Don't call me wrong - we don't want any problem from anybody anymore.

Your problem occurred in the past was mainly caused by (1) USA, and then, after USA treated from Indo-China,(2) by Vietnam hegemonists.

Instead of causing harm to countries in Indo-Chinese peninsula, China poured a lot of humanitarian aids, and investment into these countries. China suffered quite a bit since the money could be used for its own poor people.

To stop Vietnam's hegemony over Cambodia and Laos,(and even Thailand), Deng Xiao Ping launched in 1979 an attack on Vietnam to force Vietnam to withdraw from these 2 countries. China saved these 2 countries but the war has also caused China dearly.

Yes - Cambodia's war, the world know it. Who were involved and killed Cambodians? but problem like this, Cambodia, as a small country with no resource, can't do anything, truely. Cambodia would like to let the superpower like China deals on her own. And of course, China knows what she is going to do well.

Deal with Vietcong is not easy. Vietcongs will act like monkeys and their hands will snatch your bannana anytime eventhough their eyes look at you. So to deal with Vietcongs, you talk with your hands holding a wiping stick...hahhaha

I believed that King Sihanouk told everything about this to the Chinese Presidents. If you don't have experience with the monkeys, remember what the King Sihanouk said.

The Khmer Rouge was inspired, guided, financed and armed by the Chinese Communist Party.

How do Cambodians feel about the genocide the CCP lackey Pol Pot forced the country to endure?

Interesting comment. This got me thinking about friends of China's communist dictators so I drew up a list, and guess what?

The list of CCP closest friends since Mao became dictator is also the list of the top 10 tyrants in modern history. Just look ar their circle of friends:

Kim Il Sung
Kim Jong Il
Joseph Stalin
Ho Chi Minh
Pol Pot
Ion Antonescu
Yahya Khan
Josip Broz Tito
Augusto Pinochet
Nicolae Ceausescu

China expansionism in south east asia region is too aggressive.

i have read that, now, the philippines supports the military rearming of japan because philippines now wants japan to counter balance China's expansionism in south east asian regions.

not good for China if japan is military rearmed.

I hope there a more interlectual Cambodians who can lead Cambodia through this mess of getting the aid now, getting troubles latter.

Cambodians in this forum do not seem to learn their history lessons which they paid heavily with the lives of their love ones.

When your neighbors asked you to be their friend, you should say yes. Helping the outsider never pay off in the end. May God bless Cambodia who ever her God may be.

Cambodia lost the most of her lands to the neighbors, not China.

The matter of fact, only China and Cambodia do exist in the region in the past.
