Exploring the Pickering Airport Lands

Back in the early 1970s, the federal government had the idea that air traffic was going to grow exponentially, and that Malton Airport wouldn't be able to handle the crowds. via Spacing Wire

Tenant turfed from airport site

Jan. 29

We read daily about the injustices that people in other countries suffer.

That being said, it amazes me that a country such as ours has allowed, for 35 years, the citizens living on the expropriated land in Pickering to be victimized by their very own federal government.

The same government that is supposed to protect our rights has been the villain in this ongoing saga.

Despite all the well-known reasons why an airport in north Pickering is not necessary, the government soldiers on like a schoolyard bully.

Whoever is behind the airport may relish their success, but is crushing so many just so a few can profit in keeping with the spirit of our great country ?
