Newcomer to Hamilton, where can I meet new friends?

I moved to Hamilton just over 1 yr ago and now that I am settled, I want to know of how I can meet some people in my new neighbourhood, both male and female. I am not one to go to bars too often.

I'd advise not moving to hamilton, it smells, 1/2 the people dont speak english, downtown is one big psychiatric ward, the peep show is the most happening place to meet females, jackson square is full of people with no money, graffiti everywhere, buildings collapsing, the main library is just a hangout for rap star wannabees, vagrants, homo's, third world immigrants who just want to get information on how much they can milk out of the system, and cry racism! if you tell it like it is. i could go on for pages. I came here last year from budapest, i wish i never left.

jackson square mall food court is the hot spot, you can be an ugley fat black raper and the whitetrash girls will follow you around like lost puppies, thats just one reason that theyre whitetrash.
