I bet this news story has Milroy scratching his head, From a CORONER to a GARBAGE MAN. Education right. Remember don't judge a book by it's cover.

You of all people shouldn't be talking about anyone else judging other people. This is a sad story and I feel for the loss with their family and friends.

Sorry, JunkE wasn't referring to you. Was referring to LR. He is one of the most judgemental people on here.

LR evidently doesn't read for understanding very well either. The article didn't say "former coroner, now garbage man". He drove truck for Parks Sanitation AND was Huntingdon County Coroner. Mifflin County's Coroner works full time while serving as Coroner. LR must have watched a lot of Quincy on TV. At least he didn't try to blame MCRPD for the accident.

Oh, that makes sense. I didn't even realize he posted in this thread.

It doesn't matter what any of you think, there is a hugh difference between the Educational level for a Coroner and a Garbage man whether you like it or not. I envy a person with a High education level that is not to proud to work at the low level if that is what he desired or if he needed something to do to feed his family. The educational level was the reason for the comment but right away you want to make it a personal issue again.

I was telling someone about this news story this morning, the first thing they said was that it was out of charactor to see a coroner driving a Garbage truck, To me that person I was talking too is a normal thinking person, but not the people on this forum. Is it because these people here are so much out of touch with society or is it they just want to be contradictive on every comment?

What type of schooling do you need to have to be a coroner? I would think some sort of medical knowledge, does anyone on here know.

I didn't think it was that out of the ordinary. As I said, Mifflin County's Coroner works full time and is "on call" as Coroner. He has deputy coroners on call when he is not available. The deputy coroner I know has a high school education and must attend annual training. Your original post was some rambling meant to attack MILROY and once again you do not know the facts.

Yes, I think you are right, remember when our coroner somehow was allowed to select several Deputy's and Yogi had the Deputy Coroner job while serving as a commissiner until somebody exposed it. But did he actually perform the coroners job or was it just a money making title?

How does that answer my question about schooling to be a coroner?

You're right my comment was meant to show Milroy the educational difference between a Coroner and a Garbage Man.

It is an elected position but you must attend the Coroner Traing. The Juniata County Coroner is a full time plumber.

Seriously, what the hell is the matter with you? Two men have lost their life in a tragic accident. Rather than offer condelences, or show even the slightest bit of empathy or sympathy, you spout insulting, nonsensical drivel.

I don't know any elected coroner that needed a medical degree in anything. If it's an elected position politics plays more than knowledge . A coroner just writes reports and makes second hand guesses , a medical examiner and/or police are called in to find the manner of death and collect evidence. If a person is stabbed and slabbed it's usually a murder.

Is that why they can call DRUG OVERDOSES accidental deaths, which they are not. It's no accident.
