Two suspected time piece bandits are wanted in a $150,000 watch heist.
Police say two men approached a jewellery store at Lime Ridge Mall at 7:30 p.m on Wednesday. One man entered the shop, while the other waited outside.
Once inside the store, police say, the suspect walked behind a watch case and pried it open with a crow bar. He allegedly removed a number of high-end men’s watches, placing them in blue recycling box.
He then jumped over the counter and was confronted by a staff member, but fled the store without threatening the employee.
Police say the suspects then walked calmly out of a back exit to the mall, while mall security chased them to catch up.
The suspects allegedly placed the watches in the back of a vehicle that has been described as a Honda then drove away.
The car was last seen near the intersection of Stonechurch Road and Upper Sherman Avenue.
Police supplied the following descriptions:
Suspect 1: male, between six feet and six feet two inches tall, with blue eyes and thin build, possibly with a beard, wearing a white Tyvek Hazmat suit, an orange construction vest and white gloves.
Supsect 2: male, five foot eight, with a thin build, pockmarked face and prominent chin, wearing a red hoodie a and orange construction vest.
