Newborn pronounced dead in stable condition in hospital

A newborn baby pronounced dead at hospital is alive and in stable condition.
Around 6:15 a.m. Sunday, a 20-year-old Toronto woman gave birth to a baby girl outside in the freezing temperatures near Jane Street and Finch Avenue West.
The woman was making her way to hospital when she went into medical distress. She dialed 911 but delivered the child before emergency crews could arrive.
Police and ambulance officials brought the woman and her baby to hospital where the child was pronounced dead.
Officers remained with the child for almost two hours as they waited for the coroner to arrive, when they noticed something shocking – movement from under the sheet that had been covering the infant.
