I live in the condos behind the arena and so far to date I have picked up three bags of litter that hockey moms and dads choose to leave behind. Many of these people are with their children, so they also know how to toss garbage, quite a lesson to learn.
I am quite sure if I were to walk by one of their homes and through garbage on their lawn they would be quite irate. I go through the parking lot each day to walk my dog, I do not feel it is the Town’s duty to clean this up. I think the ones doing this should be more aware of the mess they create instead of leaving it for others. It looks very shameful on Georgetown and some of its residents. So please take pride in where you live and set a good example for your children. I think the litterers must feel the litter disappears with the snow, but it remains there until someone like me has to pick it up. So show your respect for the town you livein. Thank you,
B.Wilson,
Georgetown

Does it make sense to spend almost $36 million —

close to $8 million more than originally budgeted —

for an expansion to the Milton Sports Centre,

but not include $700,000 to make a proposed pool eight lanes rather than six?
