We’re broke, Mr. Carney

Re “Debt warnings not heeded”(Editorial, April 22): Thank you so much, Mark Carney, for the heads up, but here’s the reality of life in the so-called middle class. Just getting to work, where we earn our share of income to be taxed, costs money. To feed a family costs money, which is taxed. Rent or mortgage payments are taxed. The government has more of our earned dollars than we do. A loaf of bread now costs upwards of $3 and milk is more than $5. People are borrowing just to survive — that’s the reality. What have our leaders in government done but make sure everything costs more so their tax-collected portion can continue to increase. Where should I be able to save some money — what should I do without? I’m sure the answer would be “anywhere but the taxes
no wonder
