Fire briefs: Sept. 16 – 22

About 12:28 p.m. Saturday Halton Hills firefighters responded to an ambulance assist at Chudleigh’s on Regional Road 25. The ambulance was already on scene upon arrival and EMS personnel advised there was some type of explosion near some barbecues under a tent. After some investigation it was discovered an aerosol can of bug spray that had been underneath the BBQ had exploded, injuring two men. The can was discovered approximately 60 yards from the BBQ area. Firefighters taped off the area and advised personnel to contact the Ministry of Labour. Halton Police were on scene.
