.Milton man charged in drug bust

A Milton man faces charges in connection with last week’s crackdown of a drug importation and distribution operation.

As part of an OPP investigation that began in January, a vehicle was stopped in Brampton last Tuesday, leading to the arrest of two suspects and the seizure of 2 kg of cocaine.

Subsequently, police executed warrants for residences in Brampton and Halton, where they allegedly further located and seized 3.5 kg. of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, prohibited weapons and some cash. The total value of the seized drugs is estimated at $500,000.

A 32-year-old Milton man is charged with possession of property obtained by crime and two counts each of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and breach of undertaking.

The OPP’s Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) and Provincial Organized Crime Enforcement Team (POCET) worked with police services in Halton, Peel and Niagara during the investigation.
