Two tractor-trailers containing cases of whole frozen chickens valued at nearly $100,000 were stolen early Tuesday in north Etobicoke, according to Toronto police.
The trucks went missing shortly before 1 a.m. from the Weston Rd. and Finch Ave. W. area.
Police suspect the thieves intend to sell the chicken and are warning people of the health risks associated with eating unrefrigerated meat.
If approached, people should be wary of chickens packaged in brown cardboard boxes with holes on two sides, with Tray Packed Whole Fryer printed on the side and a white label describing the contents
