Burlington residents charged following raid


BURLINGTON - Three Burlington residents, including one 17 year old, are facing numerous drug charges after police raided a home on Bellview Street yesterday.

Halton Police say they discovered more than nine kilograms (20 pounds) of cannabis resin (hashish) and about half a kilogram of marijuana, as well as a debt list, a digital scale and what is believed to be a dismantled grow lab. Police say they also found three unsecured rifles in the home. Estimated street value of the seizure is approximately $100,000.

A 20-year-old man is charged with drug trafficking, possession and two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

A youth is charged with drug possession and two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Both of the accused are being held for a bail hearing and are to appear in Hamilton court.

A 55-year-old woman is charged with drug possession. She was released and is to appear in a Milton court May 14.

The investigation is continuing regarding the rifles
