Why is it that governments (politicians) employ shady companies, have auditors and inspectors and yet it is mostly the media that uncovers the dirt.

Is it not time for us to take a deeper look into the entire system under which our politicians operate????

The sst Question Period of the fall session of Parliament mercifully concluded just minutes ago.

True to form, it was laden with partisan jabs, name calling, and cheap shots. Sadly, substance need not apply.

As we were lucky enough to watch these antics from our office, we thought to ourselves,

"It would be as easy to predict the sun rising in the morning as it is to predict the lack of civility in Parliament."

We owe it to Canadians to see our Parliamentarians rise above petty partisan politics.

There is so much at stake.

Be it our fragile economic recovery,

the accelerating pace of climate change,

the plight of the millions of our fellow citizens living below the poverty line,

or any of a multitude of issues facing us each and every day.

We desperately need leadership in the House of Commons to deal with the affairs of state.

As we enter the 3rd year of our 3rd minority Parliament since 2004,

we are under the threat of facing our fourth election in six years at any time.

It could be tomorrow, next week, or next month.

Fortunately, when the election is called,

Greens will also be in a position to become the voice of reason we so desperately need in Parliament.

Across the country, women and men are stepping forward with an insatiable desire to earn the privilege to represent Canadians as Green Party Members of Parliament.

Each are dedicated to restoring decorum in Parliament and become your voice within those hallowed halls...
