His official title is vice-president/regional publisher of MetrolandÂ’s Peel and Southwestern Ontario region. It includes such papers as The Independent & Free Press, Brampton Guardian, Mississauga News, Caledon Enterprise, Orangeville Banner, Fergus Elora News Express and Wingham Advance Times.
Robbins lives in Hamilton and is married with three teenaged children.

He replaces Ken Nugent, who retired at the end of 2012.
