Collateral damage?

Re “Dalton’s gas plant story is a farce”(Editorial, May 8): The taxpayers of this province are going to take a hit for at least $585 million because Dalton McGuinty, Kathleen Wynne and other Liberal cabinet members and strategists wanted to protect a couple of seats in an election. According to McGuinty and Wynne’s testimony, they were prepared to waste $40 million on this seat-saver exercise — apparently that’s a mere pittance, or minor collateral damage to secure seats and power, especially when it is someone else’s money. I would have thought Clayton Ruby and Paul Magder would have been all over this debacle. McGuinty, Wynne, and their gang must be held accountable for their actions
