Police issue 835 notices for distracted driving

Halton Police handed out 835 provincial offence notices for distracted driving last week.
The enforcement aspect of the campaign ran from April 15-19. On April 10 Halton Police Chief Steve Tanner and Regional Chair Gary Carr took the pledge against distracted driving and encouraged everyone in Halton to do the same.
“Motorists need to be cognizant of the inherent dangers associated to driving while distracted and recognize we will continue our enforcement efforts to enhance road safety,” said Tanner.
