The sign was removed by the committee. vandalsim was used for fundraisning purpose by Les. Therefore, The new sign must be put on as St.Mary's and St. Gabriel church as the congregation like it.

I am one of the committee decided to remove our church sign and to replace it with the new sign St.Mary's and St. Gabriel as the congregations like it. Thank you abay, I do not know this person but I like is comment.
Yes, we were planing to keep the stablity of our church but Deacon Lesanu took it too far. He and his group call it Vandalism but that was not true and they knew it was going to be removed. This is giving a bad name to the community of Tantalon. If any of the self claim as St. Gabriel committee has been call for a discussion with the Anglican church Bishop and St. Nicholas parsih but they are avoiding it since they do not have the truth to tell. We ready to do so and see what our congregations has said and like to see. Deacon Les and the other group acting as the owner of the church. The congregations of Ethiopian church is the leaser of this church and who has maintance the church in good condition and will do in the future if the situations is under control. We would like the St. Nichola's congregations understand that too. We are asking them to force Deacon Les and his group to have a meeting and see the fact and the truth that what the people of our church have said and like to tell.
Thank you for your understanding.

Hello
The issue of ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo church in halifax is not over yet. Local RCMP has conformed the church committee that the problem must be solved by the congregations or by civil court since this is not criminal case. Which was Deacon Les wish and has call it since then. The Anglican church of Canada Bishop has call the issue to be solved by the congregations. Yet our church people did not hear any discussion. We hope Deacon Les and his group understand it. This very important to do so before the congregtions take a further action.
Thank you

Where is father Hailmariam Now? Yes, we that he did not like issues to happen but because of the selfinterest Deacon Les hopping to be a prist. He force him to change our agreements and unity but to name the church only as st.Gabriel rather then the join churches as St.Mary's and St. Gabriel. We will see how far you(Deacon Les) will go without the support of our church community and congregations.

The Ethiopian church on 1608 Hammond Plains Rd was closed on it's congregations on Jan. 15,2012 by Deacon Les(Lesanu Zewide)who the only person has the key to open it or to close it. Local RCMP has been noticed about it. The join committee chairman of St.Mary's and St.Gabreil church has call on the cogregations to have a final meeting to solve our issues. However, the St.Gabreil committee or Deacon Les could not face the affect but to close the church on the congregations and staying at home for that day and no futher notice when the church will be open again. Therefore, soon or later the two churches will be separated if the St.Gabreil committee are not will to fix their mistake that has been cheating and misleading on the people as well as the public fund. The congregations are will to hear the answer from Deacon Les or any of their committee why can't they comeforward and have a talk with the congregations.

All the above comment is written by one person. his name is Atakliti mulu , a pupate of evil mind of Mr brehanu. both of them like to put the church with illegal synod to steel church money. Deacon lesianu is a professional and smart young man he let their game out of churches subject, that is what they are upset . the church are not closed you are ling . This evil Brehanu will make more problem to Orthodox believers let time will tell .
Let God help the St. Gabriel church and deacon lesianu with his service
