Does anyone take network news seriously anymore because of all the media concentration? I don't know about otehr people but it seems Canadians are treated as simpletons by the media anyway as far as TV news is concerned. The headline reader reads the headline and then some on the scene reporter virtually repeats the same thing with some pictures. That is reporting? Sometimes they also interview some local who virtually says the same thing! So that is 3 times the same thing with a few pcitures! Most of my friends are computer literate don't even bother with network news or now even newspapers. They get their reading from the internet from all sources and if they want to dig real deep they look for the other side of each story. What would happen if the internet ever went down would probably a reversion back to smoke signals and flashing mirrors to morris code.

Are Pensioned Off Workers the Next Attack ?

After Reading Bell Canada Buy Out Dealings

Now we Know, as described by one prominent US-based business columnist as a “deal from hell,” perhaps no other combination of companies illustrates the perils of merging operations than the recently unwound Daimler-Benz/Chrysler adventure.

Daimler is actually paying about USD1.5 billion to get out from under Chrysler’s healthcare obligations to workers and retirees.

What seemed manageable nine years ago when the automakers combined to form DaimlerChrysler is now driving the companies apart.

(Cerberus is investing USD7.4 billion in cash, of which USD1.35 billion will go to Daimler.

Also, Daimler will invest USD2.5 billion in cash in Chrysler and lend it another USD400 million.

Daimler ends up about USD1.5 billion out of pocket but also gets a 19.9 percent stake in the new Chrysler.)

i hate when ctv plays orchestrated music in the background like when theres something they consider sad they play crap music or if there is what they call terrorism then they play like low notes for a corny music .its obvious the media is trying to manipulate those that watch and too bad some people are too stupid to not notice this bullshit.ctv news QUIT PLAYING MUSIC QUIT TALKING ABOUT IRRELEVANT JOURNALISM OF WHEN SOMEONE SHITS IN THEIR YARD AND GIVE HONEST LIVE COVERAGE.AND QUIT BEING RACIALLY BIAST ALWAYS TALKING ABOUT FOREIGN COUNTRIES WHEN THE REAL NEWS SHOULD BE LOCALIZED NOT INTERNATIONAL .which nobody cares.
