Elliston memorial to honour sealers
Margaret Goff, 91, was born seven years after the 1914 Newfoundland sealing disaster, but says she remembers her mother describing the horror of seeing the bodies of her father and son who froze to death on the ice.

With no disrespect to the deceased or living relatives why in God's name would any-one want to erect a memorial to people who spent their lives clubbing to death defencless baby animals. God moves in a mysterious way and justice has been served.
