This is the town I was born and raised. Today, on TV I saw the news and could not believe at how bad it has gotten. I hope no one gets hurt. I hope they get financial support.

If I find any pictures,I will send them to you. From what you've written, it looks to me that you know the area. This is the town I was brought up and it also concerns me.

I haven't found any pictures, but my cousins who live behind the Blockhouse evacuated Monday with water throughout the first floor of the house. If you Google "Fort Kent Flood April 2008" you do get lots of news stories with a few pictures and videos.

I hope everyone is fine. Water can't be good to use at this time so be careful. Hope family and friends are fine. If you need to get away come down south! Love me!!

Lived and worked in Ft Kent, grew up in St Francis. I have pictures my niece sent me, not sure how to get them out there. They're of the Fish River area around the credit union, a few from the Riverside Park and the Int'l Bridge. |
