any time spent trying to do business with Fastenal is a loss of time and effort you can never get back. They offer the world and then give you the finger when you sign a contract with them to manage your inventory. The best way to do anything through Fastenal is don't enter their door and save your sanity.

after hearing from many different companies around Edmonton I have now got the big picture that Fastenal will cost your business lots of money with all the product that gets back ordered. Their back order list is always bigger than teir recieveing list. So BEWARE is the only thing I can think of when dealing with Fastenal. Even in Rome they can get it right.

Fastenal has contracts with some big companies...
Including public funded organizations.... Cities, regions, hospitals, universities, transit.....
Discusting our tax dollars aren't spent with Canadian companies.
Worse yet they are expensive!!!!!

This is a yankee outfit that allows its managers to steal from suppliers. They are extremely sexist and age discriminatory. They will also lie to most anyone to suck them into there inefficient and ineffective contracts game, this is a perfect example of buyer beware. They are worst than the boston bombers.

My company and many of our associates have now boycotted Fastenal Canada due to their lack of service and lies about orders and pricing, good riddance losers.

What a bunch of worthless people on here. Take an English course. Also, clearly some of you people dont understand Fastenal's business model. Long story short... it's hard to become one of the top performing companies in the last 20 years by being terrible.

I have to agree... I current work at Fastenal and I have no idea what you guys are talking about. Age and sex discrimination? We're almost at a 50/50 split, and we highly respect older people for their experience and young people for their enthusiasm. Our whole hub (we supply all of eastern Canada and some of west) is focused on customer service. Hell, my job is making sure customers get their order. When you deal with over 12000 individual sales a day in a warehouse that only has 7 docks, it can be tough, but to talk down to my company like that without having any personal experience working their is just ridiculous. This place treats me amazingly and is paying my college tuition.

Damn yankees?? Don't know if that uneducated person has asked anyone working at Fastenal location, but we are Canadian. All business is a two way street, until you've worked with us, don't speak out against us.#blueteam

Oh I thought we Canadians were better than a lot of these comments. Sounds like a whole lot of jealousy. I am Canadian, I am a woman and I work for Fastenal Canada as one of the top sales reps in North America. I am not ashamed of it, I am Proud. I have receive opportunities I never thought possible and have been challenged to constantly improve. For over seven years they have paid for my life and I have been able to help thousands of people and companies. Our company is nothing like many of you believe, we have strong core values, an amazing business model and a hard working team of dedicated competitive individuals. Perhaps you have experienced issues at your local store. Reminder a company is only as good as the people working for it. Businesses are designed to make money. Fastenal contributes in a large way to both the American and Canadian economies. Don't be a hater, apply! Make a great company better if your so damn good.
