This is most certainly an occult crime. Santaria or some off shoot of African tribal magic should most certainly be investigated. Sometimes drug dealers will practice Mal (bad santaria) in the hopes that it will offer protection from narcotics police.

Could be a serial killer. They said they're have been reports of several missing young men in the area. Killer might have a foot fetish. Wouldn't be the first time it happened.

You guys are killing me with the feet jokes! Who knew so much fun could be had on the Heels of such an odd story.

...this just in from the Toronto Star:
VICTORIA — The B.C. Coroner's Service said this afternoon that a sixth severed foot found yesterday in Campbell River is a hoax. A forensic pathologist examined the shoe and remains and concluded it was not a human foot inside the size 10 Adidas runners located on the shore yesterday on the Tyee Spit. "The bone protruding out was actually a skeletonized animal paw inserted into the shoe with a sock and packed with dried seaweed." |

ha foot fedish

I think the whole story is a hoax. I don't believe a word of it. Horse crap, I tell ya! Some people will go to any lengths to get attention, and others will believe anything that they hear or read. Besides, if the news service printed it without confirming it, then when they get sued they should "FOOT" the bill for all of the lawyer's services! GOTCHA.
I've also heard that victims have come forward and complained to the authorities. But, they have been ignored. According to a spokesman for the authorities, they don't have a foot to stand on...
Maybe they'll make the story into a full-length FEETURE film!
