My thougths and prayers are with the victim, his family and that of the driver in this unfortunate incident.

It is sad that this had to occur, yet bound to happen as this crosswalk area is unlit and should have lights to allow pedestrians to pass. Once they opened up Coast Meridian to 4 lanes, it was only a matter of time before this would happen. Hopefully this will result in the city putting in a traffic light for pedestrians and for drivers to exercise more caution.
