Sadly the(Rutherford) is not the oldest known hockey stick...I am the proud owner of the oldest, it is called the 'Moffatt Stick' and was crafted in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia between 1835-38. This fact has been determined by outstanding provenance and galvanized with the scientific research of Mount Allison's Dendro-chronology lab. The findings were released to the media about a year ago and were available coast to coast. Mr.Sharpe had several years to enjoy his self proclamation, however his reign has ended with the remarkable discovery and research of the Moffatt stick, which has raised the bar for authenticity. Sincerely, Mark Presley

no dude..I have the world's oldest hockey stick..it's a stick from an ancient tree shaped like a new hockey stick and it's been dated from the Ice Age when hockey was hockey...I'll take $1.2 million.. historians call it the fukit stik..I also own the oringinal hockey puck made from wood..Mount Allison's Dendro lab has verified this puck and values it at $500,000 US dollars..it's a remarkable collectable and is called a fukpuk
