you don't think that the system gives employers the upper hand as it is? wake up, employees have no say in anything. meanwhile the people on top are amassing all the money displaying no social conscience whatsoever. this is why the "economy" failed. it's just plain thievery.
Who has no social conscience? Just the "people on top"?

So all those middle- and low-income people who buy products made overseas where wages are lower, and labour and environmental laws are lax, don't get their share of the blame?

So all of those middle-income people who invest in the evil corporations either directly or through their pension plans, don't get their share of the blame?

So all of those middle- and low-income people who produce more than their fair share of pollution, emit more than their fair share of carbon, waste more than their fair share of water, don't get their share of the blame?

RE: How paying people's way out of poverty can help us all
..... Paying people with whose money? Money that would have to be borrowed because apparently the politicians do not dare raise tax rates enough to pay for everything, plus even more to reduce the debts to more reasonable levels?

..... Contrary to public opinion, it's NOT the employers who decide how many people will be unemployed or employed in Canada, but it's the buyers of the goods and services that are produced right here. As long as things made in Asia are cheaper, most people will probably buy Asia-made things, causing a lot of unemployment here, whether or not there is a minimum wage here.
..... Again: The buyers are in the driver's seat! Maybe the schools are turning out too many who want jobs that are not, or no longer, available? What to do with those people? Let them starve? Deport them? Are they "surplus" people?

the minimum wage is below poverty level. the main purpose of business is to create upward mobility for everyone, not just the employers. if you increase the minimum wage to the right levels you will create more enterpreneurship. more enterpreneurship in the community means more jobs. more jobs means more people can afford to buy your products. this is why if you have no sense of community then recession is gonna happen again and again. you can have a lot of money & have very little value because the society has been depleted & cannot support it. wake up people!

you know that low-income people have no choice in the matter. you know they are not the ones being put to the test. have you heard of the saying it is easier for a rich man to pass through the eye of the needle...? this is because they have of their own choice compromised their own integrity that they no longer have integrity. have you seen how in ages long ago what punishments were seen to fit the slavery forced by the pharaoh on the israelites? and how the slaves were asked to be sent out with all the riches of the kingdom because they deserved it? and how unjust wages cry out to heaven even up to the end of time? so send out your people with just wages...not minimum...but just!

I was so confused when I was gradually losing all I had to a mortgage company...But i bounced back to my feet when i contacted a Priestess which I saw on BBC that was good at spell casting who casted a "Goodluck" spell on me and all I lost came back in double fold without side effects. Those of that going through difficulties should contact her on her ID:[email protected] com. she might be of help to you.

In my point of view if you want to eliminate poverty just get rid of the Temporary Agencies. They are the middle man and since they have come into the picture the economy and the working class has only gone down. If they will not exist the companies will have to hire you and value your work more. Now they just call the temp agency hire you for a few days and then dispatch of you like a used diaper. Believe you me they are the cancer of the working class.
