Hossenfeffer (rabbit)

1 large
Onion
Sliced
3 cups
White Vinegar

3 cups
Water

1 tbsp
Pickling spice

2 tsp
Salt

1/2 tsp
Pepper

2
Bay leaves

8
Whole Cloves

1
Dressed Rabbit
2 - 2 1/2 lb, cut into serving sized pieces
1/4 CUP
Flour

2 - 3 tbsp
Butter

1 cup
Sour cream

In a large resealable bag combine onion, vinegar, water and seasonings. Add rabbit pieces,
seal bag and toss in fridge for 48 hours, turning occasionally. Remove the meat. Strain and
reserve marinade. Dry the meat well and coat lightly in flour.

In a skillet, brown the meat in butter, gradually add 2-2 1/2 cups of the marinade. Cover and
bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until tender, about 30 min. remove meat to a
warm platter. Add sour cream to pan juices and stir just until heated through.
Spoon over the meat and serve immediately.

You can have some of the coyotes that roam behind my house most every night. That should take care of some bunny wabbits.

on the situation of culling rabbits i think its a bit rash why not nest a shit load of the areas natural eagles who are already suffering decline i m sure if the eagles are back the rabbits will no longer be a problem plus Canmore would be known as a Bird watchers paradise while avoiding bad publicity of culling cute bunnies most Canadians consider them pets not pests
