She may have less bacteria on her hands now, if the toolbag survives reentry - to live on and spawn the scorn of a future love triangle...

OOps should not be part of the vocabulary. I was willing to give the astronaut the benefit of doubt, but if I get caught making a single mental slip on a job, the safety director will run me off for good! The standard must be set much higher.

I paid for those tools, and now they're a safety hazard.

She'll need a ride upon returning because she won't remember where she parked her car. Co-workers will give her a *Lost In Space* T-Shirt, too.

It's just a platonic relationship at this stage.

Blind dates can be dangerous. Imagine two blind people poking each other with canes.

Hey, I've seen your website and I like it. Really classy for a guy from Akron:)

Glad you like it. It's nice to see that even in Lapeer, MI, people can have such discriminating taste :)

When you consider that this $100k bag represents on miniscule percentatge of the total Federal budget, and then consider that you probably contributed an even more miniscule amount of money to that budget, I would bet that you contributed a few thousandths of a penny to this bag.

Want to bet she won't fly again? She might have a hairy crack up.

The odds of not flying again are high for most of the current astronauts. Especially for those who are older and have already flown several times. This is primarily due to the gap between Shuttle and Orion, and the fact that Orion will have fewer missions per year than Shuttle.

BTW, the chances are good that she'll be remembered as the Bag Lady of the space program. I wonder if she could lose a shopping cart up there, too.

coincidently...Piper "lost" her last job as a rollerskating waitress in ft.lauderdale after losing the entire weeks cash bundle while doing the manager a favor and taking it to the bank for deposit. " forgot to see if it was pinned tomy shirt" she explained. Unemployed , she filled out applications to Hardys, McDonalds and finally NASA, who hired her as a non rollerskating Astronaut last January.

Regardless of what I personally paid, I did pay for them, and they are now uncontrolled projectiles in orbit. I'm right on both points. In fact, the tools will be replaced, so I get to pay for them again. I'm pretty sure NASA will upgrade, too.

I'm not against the space program, I'm against waste. And unsafe work habits. That $100 large would have fed a lot of starving people.
