The day Canadians decide en masse that they will relocate to Northern Alberta or northern British Columbia to take available jobs, we can have a proper debate in this country over the need for the Temporary Foreign Worker program.

my take: foreign workers are taken by the hand and found jobs. We do not even have a competent "manpower" operation anymore to assist our own people in looking for work and giving guidance to trades. Where are the unions- they do not care if the dues come from a foreign worker or one of our home born Canadians (my thot) And the hue and cry for small business is a lark as our "esteemed" charter banking system is in a 100% collateral mode unless guarantees placed by gov't agencies. We may have the most stable banks in the w. world and I should think any idiot could run a "no risk" bank. Talk about the disappearance of the middle class! Invite the US and UK banks to do business in Canada and I suspect the government will see small business development. Government now only wants to support national and multi nationals with loans and then (as we have seen in NS for sure) when they go bad- what is left has to pick up the tab and hear "well we did not foresee the slump". Like most knew 30 years ago the newsprint industry was going to spiral-- but-oh no- keep those union jobs- ya' just gotta shine more shoes because you will have to take some more money from you 11.00/hr job and fill the pension shortage of the 60/hr mill workers and teachers--- sucks ! We will have a Fidel some day for sure- the invitation is very obvious !

I think Canadians need to stop crying and prepare your kids...

my kid is the smartest kid in his class... and at least 1 grade above him.... as he is ahead of those kids too...

he is in school with a 70 to 80% immigrant parent student population...

parents who could come to Canada because they have money and very good education backgrounds...

stop crying.. and do something Canada tried to close itself off to China...

now they are trying to buy up our resources...
