I love Victoria but I have to disagree. Quebec City is tops in my book.

Victoria BC is romantic!? What kind of brain injuries are the panel suffering from? Victoria BC has a reputation for being economically, politically, and socially uptight and cliquey. Oh yes, I find the lack of worthy employment, lack of money, fun, amusement, friends, while being repressed is very romantic. It is gets one's mojo going. All those people on various web sites giving negative commentary of life in Victoria must have some element of truth.

Well it's really nice. If you do go there, and your a botanist of sorts, then it's a great place, bc there are tons of gardens. Of course that is only a seasonal thing.

Otherwise it's just cold and wet. Kind of boring, and not romantic at all.

You should do your research before moving your whole life to Victoria BC Canada. Under the surface good looking environment is the darker and more unpleasant aspects of the economy and social culture. Read all the comments of the Topix forums "On Victoria" and "Is Victoria a nice place to live?" Most of the commenters have been screwed over by the Victoria system and culture is one way of another. You should also check www.ratemyemployer.ca before you sign on with any employer unless you want to get stuck with a bad one.

Victoria is so romantic when it is stingy cheap, low ball, cliquey uptight, mentally slow, success money hating, and frustrating. It is no wonder people visit the place and the place and then quickly leave. Living there long term would be a financial, mental, social, personal disaster when compared to some of the other places.
