I drove through the site yesterday. No lights, no security, no nothing, literally a ghost town. i drove around the entire complex unchallenged and didn;t see a soul.

What a sad testament to poor corporate planning and egos. Motorola could not have picked a worse site logistically speaking. Yes they have UP service in Harvard but San Diego is much better if sourcing components from Mexico. Eeven if the land was free and the taxes abated for 5-10 years, they built a white elephant in an undesirable location. Given the state of US manufacturing and predisposition for outsourcing to foreign soil, this was a monumental mistake.

Drove by it today, been awhile since I was near, so we drove in towards the complex but did'nt get far, chains across drive. Would have loved to drove near it, beautiful buildings, massive.
Would love to go inside.
Major shame nothing was done with it, especially anything to benifit the locals.
Maybe something will come from this latest venture, best of luck.

Was in Harvard today...and saw this beautiful empty building on the north side of town...what a shame! There is a subdivision set for all the execs to build just down the road, with large lots in a wooded area with a stream. A sad statement on how things are in our country today. One question...Why don't they retime the stoplights at the propery intersection? Felt like I waited for the whole first shift to pull out (ghosts of course). Can't someone do something with this?
