The Galvins were the heart of Motorola. Working for them for 24 years and only briefly meeting Bob, I can say they are the best. Motorola has lost it's way. It needs to team up with Steve Gates so maybe it could survive. If you talk about honor and class the Galvin's had it. Ever since Motorola had the type of classless leaders it shows what they can do. Anyway to Chris and the Family all the best sorry that company was lacking in judgement. Right now they are getting their own judgement.

I think the firing of Chris Galvin was a big mistake and Motorola employees and shareholders are paying the price. I think most Motorola employees remember Chris Galvin as a great guy.

I wish the Galvins were still in charge at Motorola. I really miss the Motorola "Culture".

In my 15 yrs working for Motorola in Asia and the US, I was fortunate to meet Bob and Chris more than a few times. Bob struck me as a far-looking, benevolent, optimistic and caring gentleman. Chris was similarly charismatic, in different way. They truly define what the real "Motorola" culture is - innovation, risk-taking, respect for individual, superior integrity.... I wish Chris all the success in rejuvenating the "Motorola" culture outside of the failing Motorola, Inc.

The Galvins are a technology inspiration to the Chicago region.

Would like to learn more about Galvin Projects and possible technological innovations between electronic, nutrition and food technologies.

I have the highest regard for the Galvin family. I too was fortunate to meet the Galvin's during my Motorola years. The company suffered a serious leadership drain when George Fisher departed for Kodak. The resulting executive exodus was devastating to the company especially the wireless group. Cellular, once the Motorola cash cow of the company, was destroyed by incompetent and insular leadership. The company went down like falling domino's

So sad that Motorola is such a non entity today.

"Chris Galvin is a man of the utmost highest integrity that you'll ever meet," is how a former executive assistant described him. From the times that I've spoken with him, he has lived up to that. He is not afraid to try something new, or to patiently listen to a nobody from nowhere. He is QUITE helpful and quick to share his wisdom when asked. This guy is one class act!

So whose idea was it to ship the work from Moto in Austin,Tex, to over seas? It has really hurt Austins economy.
