I am an employee that was left in the dark. The truck I was driving went down in Temple,Tx. One week before all this went down, I was told that someone was coming to pick up truck and myself. Waited all week, calling everyday and told that I would be contacted when truck was enroute. Luckily I live about 40 miles South of Temple. So fortunatly for me I was home for Christmas. I feel bad for the ones that didn't make it home. So I hope that y'all get that sorry P.O.S.

sorry for the drivers. but i heard that arrow cut the freight rate and other companies went bankrupt, i think they were too greedy, incompetent, cheap,
They might have done all that cutting rate and stuff but remember the drivers do not see any of that. Not even the paperwork with the figures on it. So we don't know if it's a favor or if the company is getting 5 bucks a mile.

Doug Pielstick, is about the lowest peice of trash on the earth right now. He left 1400 drivers stranded at truck stops and other places across america with no way to get home, he shut off fuel cards so trucks couldnt be driven, didnt pay them for over 3 weeks, then just left drivers hanging with loads on trucks that couldnt be delivered, with customers looking for loads, and having to send other trucks after the loads once they are found. This guy has ran his fathers company into the ground with no way out. I hope Doug Pielstick rots in hell.

The harsh reality of this situation IMO is this bogus lawsuit will be thrown out. Drivers of all people know they carry all responsibiliy for the company equiptment, out of route mileage cost, equiptment abandonment, cargo, etc.
Drivers have signed off many legal documents agreeing to these terms. drivers are agricultural workers and not entitled to any overtime pay, bennies, and so forth. They are fired at will.
Arrow drivers signed away any legal recourse upon their hiring.

Drivers need to keep their end of the deal.

Clueless ?
Hey, Cry Baby Drivers,
All the careing companies offering assistance normally give their drivers only a bus ticket home when it's time to cut the cord.
Arrow drivers got the regular offer all outfits give.
This Philly lawyer and bogus lawsuit "Puke;s Me Out"!!
quote:
"This is the most egregious violation of the WARN Act and state wage payment laws that I have seen in my practice," said Mr. Ercole, who has handled more than a dozen plant closing/mass layoff cases in the past five (5) years. "The hardship imposed on these employees is outrageous and we intend to vigorously prosecute this action."
unquote.
Trucking is a whole differant ballgame Baby !
Deals like this happen all the time. Every driver on that suit will be blackballed and any missing cargo or any felony fraud stuff on the down low will be proscuted by the FBI.

RIP Arrow Trucking Inc.

all i need to say is arrow has f everyone again . i am a hurt drive that worked for arrow and now i have had two work comp checks bounce that tolals $1154.00 and now i am over drawn at the bank . i have been hurt since 2007 i got hurt in oct and i have had 7 checks boune this year.i have a wife and four kids that i can not previde for do to this i am in need of three more surgery one to my neck and two to my hands. i am not able to go back to work because of this. so what am i to do say the hell with it and go back to work so i can take care of my wife and kids . or wait it out and let my lawer handle it .because if i wait i will lose everthing i have and then some .all i here about is the pore driver what about the driver that are on works comp that can not work that can not get there meds or see there dr. what about these guys that are hurt . that can not work how the hell is going to help us sure the hell is not arrow or dougy the dick.so again who is going to HELP US OUT.sure the driver and office workers can at least go get another JOB. but the one that are hurt are fuc//////////ed. so i hope doug goes to prison and takes it up the but becuase his wife will when he is in prison.
Dude you have to hold out and get the medical help you need. I lost everything and they have given me a run around for 5 years now. Ya I got my surgeries but it took the Judge's approval. You might be luck and that the State called in the WorkComp Bond. You might not have to wait and loose everything like I did.

Take care of your kids and wife. She will have to go to work and tote whatever part of the load she can. Just stick togather and be good to each other. Depression and finances drove me and mine apart. I owe so much in child Support it's not even funny. I live with my mother now and drive a truck that hardly runs. Everything I EVER worked for including my credit is gone and my health is crap.

Sevreal times before my first surgery I was thinking the way you are but it isn't feasable. I you need surgeries then you are foolish in thinking you can return to work somewhere else. If you can blow it off and go to work then you must not need the medical help you say you need.

Sound crude but I been there and done that with these people. Best thing you can do is PUSH your lawyer to go thru the court ASAP. Put them on notice and give them the legal time they (abuse) are given then BAM!! if they do NOT have a written confermation/approval at the law office of doctor's office then DEMAND it to be filed in court.

You will get your back money (I don't know about the fees and stuff)that is owed to you.

they really trap you because they make EVERYTHING look like it's been messed up due to a communication gap between their lawyer and their claims department. Don't fall for that crap. 100's of injured workers have sit on their asses for months even years falling for that.

Go to the state and get housing and stuff if you need too. Even foodstamps, just provide all you can and look around to see what help is out there. Hang in there bro don't do anything stupid and watch your ass. They were trying to tape everyone trhu their window's. Don't get screwed that way either.

I am sorry but you guys will get nothing out of that guy because he has nothing. He needs to be proscuted as a criminal, I don't know what he could be charged with but the best you guys can hope for is that man goes to jail for a good long time.

I have been the industry for just about 30 years. Worked as a CO. Driver, O/O, small fleet owner, you name it. No one ever said Trucking was an easy life, but when I startrd out,a good, hardworking Driver could own a decent home, put his kids through school, etc. Then Jimmy Carter de-regulated the industry, and decided to slap the big, bad, Trucking industry with a huge increase on the taxes of Diesel fuel. Anyone here old enough to remember when Diesel fuel was alot cheaper than regular gasoline?? Not the same price as premieum unleaded like now? Never mind it is a MUCH lower grade of fuel than gasoline, costs less to refine, etc. Back to the issue at hand. What a SHI**Y way to treat your Drivers, ARROW. There were times when I was a small fleet owner/ Driver(5 Tractors) when shippers would pay late, Brokers went bust owing me for dozens of loads, I would lose a $10K motor, Etc. I had to juggle the books, but my Drivers ALWAYS GOT PAID on time, even if I didn't. Even if I had to pull cash off a credit card to do it. That, at least to me is how a business should be run. The people that do the real work, out there on the road, come first if things get tight. They have earned it, and I owed it to them to see they got paid for what they had already done. Like I said, nobody ever said Trucking was an easy game. But to leave your Drivers stranded and abanonded out there, is unthinkable, at least to me. Best to all of you former ARROW drivers, and I hope you find a gig with a good Company soon. Sorry times these are, when Trucking CEO's are no better than the greedy Wall Street Banksters. Keep the shiny side up,the greasy side down, and the bugs off your windshield. Godspeed to you all. Stepchild

my heart goes out to all arrow employees. I went thru a similar situation with a company whom I had worked for 23 years and lost everything. the employees filed a class action law suite which came to nothing. if arrow files bankruptcy in all likelyhood the employees may not even recover their due wages. unfortunatly for the employees wages are far down the list in these matters and in all probability there will probably be no funds left when they get to the employees. I dont think the system is fair but it is what it is. been there and done that. I never really recovered back to the level I was at but I ajusted and am doing fine. When this happen to me it was during the oil bust and the econmy was bad and I had no skills to transfer anywere so it was start from scratch
GOD BLESS all the displaced Arrow employees and may they all find better jobs and have a better life

Wow. In a situation like this, the employees who are owed money should get first dibs on the "paybacks". Surely there is a loophole that would allow that, there are loopholes for nearly everything else. I hope they get paid.

I hope they can find the loophole, but I do not think they will get paid.
