I heard from D&D Sexton that idle-aire is back, is this true?
I'm one of the one's who hated the stupid crap, I think it's nothing but a scam, who the hell cares about trucks idling when most truckstops are right off the interstate anyway?

How is the air any cleaner if I shut my truck off? What about the air pollution from the interstate?
Besides the newer trucks burn cleaner anyway so they say.
Makes no sense.

Idle-aire never went away, They filed for bankruptcy and restructured the debt. they closed a few of the money losing locations, franchised out some other locations. but they are still around and actually growing adding a few more locations this summer. just opened one in Texas with 2 more being built one soon to open in PA and CA.
air pollution is only part of the consideration. the price of fuel is another. if someone can sit there for 10 or 12 hours and not idle but stay cool or warm it will save a good amount of fuel over a year and in turn cut down your bottom line. for an O/O it could be a good investment especially if you sit for 2 or 3 days waiting for a load.

Idle-aire is back. It just doesn't have the "e" after air any more.

Thanks, I haven't noticed it yet.
I'm really surprised drivers would pay for something useless as idle/air.
