No pension. Just Owner Operators. Just need a truck that is 2002 or newer. We do flats, Steps and Rgns. Mainly equipment and machinery. We pay percentage of the load so averaging $1.61 per mile plus fuel to the truck. No benefits (Medical). We have Pre pass available, fuel card and discounts and safety programs and discounts. We run 49 States and Canada. We don't fingerprint loads but we secure all of them and tarp some.

Thanks; I don't have any flatbed experience only dry vans, reefer & dump trucks.
Do you provide a lease agreement to take to the truck dealership?
You also said you have Pre-Pass, what about EZ/Pass?
When you say discounts does that include a Fleet/Bridgestone tire & Maint/discounts?
What about dead/head miles?
And last, are you customer out and customer back or customer out and broker back? Or do you pay DH/miles to the next customer?

We can get a lease to a dealership or a letter of commitment. We can get you Pre Pass the Easy Pass would be yours.Discounts at shops, tires, fuel etc. What ever we get you get. In most cases $0 on dead head miles. We don't have dedicated routes so not out and back. Our people are over the road. We don't understand the word backhaul. We have customers all over the USA and if need be we'll go with a broker load if you want but again the word backhaul needs to be removed from trucking it has no place. It costs just as much to drive the truck east to west as it does west to east.

I'll try and answer both sorry for the delay.
We would have been Sammons Trucking.
My name is Joe and I manage recruiting.
Unless we get bounce money we don't pay dead head.
We mainly haul equipment and machinery, flats, steps and rgns. Oversized and legal.
We require 2 years over the road and a year of flat bed. We are good with the flat bed being local.I can't guarantee $2.41 a mile to the truck so Tanglefoot we would not be the right fit for you.

Glad to see you listed as one of 2012's best fleets to drive for. Some post on line were not to rosey but there are always a few bad apples. I have close to thirty years driving the last 14 with the same company. I am pulling van now but have pulled flats in past at ATS. Was wondering what average take home is for your fleet after lease and fuel and ect.paying off truck is fine but I don't want to starve my family or lose my home in the process.

$2200 to $2400 on avearage a month. There are better months for sure but you need to be able to survive on $2000. There will be those months, Holidays, vacation, etc.

Is that gross or net after taxes. Also do you have an escrow account for truck repairs?

Some piece of mind. If you run you will get paid. You won't get rich in the program but if it goes as it should you'll pay off a truck and still be able to pay your bills. Since the maintenance comes from the trucks earnings you are guaranteed your percentage. Look us up at www.sammonstrucking.com .

I worked for Sammons (Great Lakes division) in the 80's, and loved it! If I could go back to that time change a few things(about myself), I would have stayed with them. They were honest with me, some of the best people who I've ever known!
