Thier secret is they find FOOLS willing to work for them. And even MORE FOOLS willing to sign leases and rent purchase trucks from them so they can pretend to be businessmen, and even more fools who have somehow financed a truck who lease to them hoping to eek out a living by competing with thier indentured slaves and share croppers.. Don't blame J B Hunt, blame the fools... |

Trucking is made up of many types of people who have many types of job desires..
For instance I went home only 4 times in the last year, but I took 2 weeks of in Florida in November, and again in February. I attend any function I care to go to anywhere in the country ( I just spent from tuesday till Sunday at Louisville Ky, and my wife and I meet all over the country for short mini vacations.. That is MY type of trucking, If yours is being home every night I have friends who do that, if yours is being home every other day, or once a week etc, I know people who do that.. Find what you want at a rate of apy you demand, forget this pitty party bull crud about the governemnt needs to be brought down to show the "power of truckers"... Socisalism like other forms of communism is not the workers paradice people pretend it to be.. Canadians come to America for health care.... Chinese are sneaking into the USA very few Americans are determined to sneak into China... |

1 Why do we think we need to strike agianst our own country? Well there really are some good reasons, for example when they KNEW without a doubt that we were going to be defiled and raped by Husain(?),what did they do?NOTHING,they stood back and waited to see if they really would before they lifted a finger agianst them. And lets not forget the time when America gave (at OUR expence)those who did such an injustice to our people three hot meals a day and a roof over their heads that didnt leak as well as a warm and comfy cot.Now you may not think that this is alot but just think...to a starving cold wet child and her family this is possible the stuff that dreams are made of.My thoughts on this strike..GO FOR IT BEFORE THEY GET YOU FIRST. |

I started driving a truck in the Republic of Viet Nam in 1968 and have been doing it all my life....BOY.... Your excuses are full of bull doo doo... The oil companies are making record profits but have you bothered to check what size the big oil companies are now? For instance complaining about the profits a company of 100 employees makes as compared to a 3 employee cmpany, The oil companies are SOOOOOOOO big because each is the combined assets and debts etc of the several oil companies that are now under one name... Does that profit come from speculation? The price of a barrel of oil on the NY merc is determined by the price buyers are willing to pay to secure a contract... two years ago maybe 9 billion dollars was invested in OIL on the merc... today 290 billion dollars is invested... A growth that would if it happened in any other field mean that prices would rise by an amount that would have a barrel of oil at 400$ If you want to lecture me about the trucking industry, start by finding out who I am instead of pretending to be an expert... Maybe you should study economics? |

It seemed like it went away, then came back, now gone again. I'm too lazy to contact admin for reason. The way some were posting on it, I can imagine why. But if someone wants to contact them and post the reason, that's fine with me.

The best people in the shut down effort realized thaqt peacful protest rather than thugs closing roads was the way to make their point without losing the american public.
Some people were agitating for violence and revolution. The nation neads leadership I don't see coming from eny of the three stooges the media is promoting towards the election... The answer for me does not include shafting my customers who do pay me for the increased costs. The solution for everyone? |
