Trucking companies are not willing to pay the price for the best drivers in the country. Where in the hell can a driver support his family and on the road lifestyle for a mere .34 cents a mile. I am a driver of 38 years and retired from a top transportation outfit for a major retailer. These loads are paying more and more but the driver gets .34 a mile long distance. What a joke. By the way I was a top 50 driver with the ATA a few years ago.
