The big corps. and others should pay the higher taxes on what they charge the tourist for. The Tourist revenue should help the 67 Counties in Florida for Schools, Road, ETC.... Anyone in Florida who wants to Strike needs to go back up NORTH.... Thats where they do that C.R.A.P. The Tourist Tax should help ALL of Florida pay to Keep Florida thier Vacation Fun.....

They bring in the money and the taxes!

But to say that they decide what the taxes are spend on is stupid. Advertising is a budgeted item in these businesses. Why use the taxes to benefit themselves? Sorry, my bad.

The people should decide! The taxes should benefit those who live and work in the area! Vegas ( the anti-Orlando) does that. How does their infrastructure and schools compare to ours?????

I have spent alot of time in the Keys. I don't really know who can afford to live there. I am a nurse, and I know I would be hard pressed to afford a single wide in Largo for $300K. All the service industry employees drive in from Miami, and Homestead everyday. And it is a 2 1/2 to 4 hours drive to Key West depending on traffic.
