Machair Tourist Agency is a travel agency which specialises in organising tours of the Scottish
Highlands and Islands for small groups of visiting foreign tourists. Each tourist group has a different route, travels by different forms of transport and stays in a variety of accommodation.
Your role is to use a combination of the Internet and on-line forums to put together an itinerary for the Washington family group of two adults and one child (age 4). The family will begin their holiday in Glasgow but on Day 13 return home to London, Heathrow where they will pick up their car for their homeward journey. Whilst visiting Scotland on holiday, the family wants to travel by a combination of train, car and boat in order to visit Fort William, Skye, Ullapool and the Island of Lewis over a 2 week period.
You will be required to gather information about plane and train times, ferry schedules, hotels, guest houses and car hire facilities, as well as places of interest to tourists. You will then be required to save this information into the Machair Tours folder.

The Scottish Citylink Website is a good place to find a timetable for a bus that goes to Skye from Glasgow, via Fort William.

I agree. It was quite difficult. The easiest thing to do would have been to hire a car, but I couldn't find a company that would let me hire a car on Skye and leave it back on the mainland. H_Lowrie wrote: Has anyone found it difficult planning a journey between Skye and Ullapool?
