USA Truck Executives See Pay Rise in 2011

Executives of USA Truck Inc. of Van Buren saw compensation rise in 2011, according to the company's annual proxy statement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

I find this funny, that the company posted a net loss of 10.8 million but they still gave them bonuses/raises. try putting the money to the people who actually do the work, and that is the drivers.

USA truck makes a deal with each driver and they can either accept it or not, if he doesn’t like the deal then leave.

Now I do not know what occupations either of you have, but I would suspect the transportation industry plays a part in it. I know you guy's think products just appear out of nowhere and it only should cost gas to get it there. I take these calls all day long, being a manager now, and it still is a mystery how so many people who have a college education do not realize the importance of trucks and drivers until you can not get your product. Right now we have a shortage of drivers which is impacting many business's bottom line with higher shipping rates. So go ahead and ignore this growing crisis, while the rest of us start working with those nasty drivers so we can continue to deliver our products in a cost effective and timely fashion.

I'll reply to this using something you clearly don't and that is intelligence. unmanned veichles in about 50 years maybe in the next 30 years seriously doubtful because in order for a system like that it would require a sensor network that would have to cover every highway and city street in this country and that technology and ability still does not exist. yes universities like UVA, VA TECH and a dozen others have built what the term "smart roads" but most all have abandoned them as the computers cannot account for the unexpected. powerloss to a section of grid, software crashes, even basic issues such as flat tires and unexpected mechanical breaks. and as for google and their "smart cars" they are outfitted with 2.2 million in sensors, cameras and computers and they still need a human in the car to "monitor the computers".

And you must be clueless as well because if you had a clue Obama and his administration have been making steady assaults on the trucking industry since he took office. opening the border to Mexican trucks, using the FHA to put in place laws that actually restrict commerence with Canada but yet drop regulations that made it easier to allow Mexican cartels to smuggle in drugs becasuse to cuts the entry inspections by half. uses the FHA to put in place new hours of service that will ultimatly put even more trucks on the road as drivers will not have the needed time to do it as it cuts the drivers work week down 10 hours. what I do see is a saftey record that has improved every year for the last 25 years reversing it's trend. and yes NAFTA is Bushes fault for getting it started and Clintons fault for signing it in to law. so please don't confuse all truckers as being union hacks as only about 35% are.
