Looking for 70s Playset (Matchbox??)

I am hoping someone will see this and actually be able to identify what I'm talking about, since I'm going on memory alone. When I was about 6 or 7, around '78-'79, I had a playset made up of plastic, interlocking roads painted cement gray that laid flat and had yellow stipes down the middle and could accomodate a Matchbox-sized car on either side. They came with short, straight lengths, and curved pieces to create turns. They also came with 4-way-stop pieces.
Then you had sidewalks & curbage that snapped onto the sides of the roads; the sidewalks were a lighter gray and had a criss-cross pattern. The sidewalks had small holes along the curbs, into which you could snap small replica road signs about and inch and a half high.
The signs had a decal-like face that had stop, yield, railroad crossing, speed limits and more, all in the same fonts and typefaces as actual road signs. Unfortunately I dont know much more than that, as it was obviously a long time ago and I dont remember any packaging or brand names. It could have been Matchbox, as those were the cars I played with on it, but who knows. If anyone remembers anything like this, I'd appreciate some insight. Thanks!!!
