Disney to buy comic book powerhouse Marvel for $4B

The Walt Disney Co. is buying Marvel Entertainment Inc. for $4 billion in cash and stock, bringing such characters as Iron Man and Spider-Man into the family of Mickey Mouse and WALL-E. Under the deal, which was announced today and is expected to close by the end of the year, Disney will acquire the rights to 5,000 Marvel characters.

This is a disaster for Marvel fans. Can't wait to see the next issue of Marvel Team Up: Wolverine and Goofy.

Marvel is amazing! They're hitting box-office records like hotcakes. However, marvel's dumbest decision was selling to Disney. Derp :P
