So let me get this straight.......El Segundo based Mattel is upset that their Barbie is slipping in sales and blames the CA based Bratz....The best way for them to increase sales is to stomp out the competion instead of evolving their doll.

Hmmmm, I think I see a trend.

I refuse to change and come up with fresh new ideas so I will blame everyone except myself.

Joe I really thought this was a hoax when I saw the headline, but WOW.

Personally, I like this judge is doing the right thing. I am sick of going to Publix, Target, the Town Center and nice restaurants and having to see and hear these little Brat’s. If the Parents would be parents and teach these Brat’s some manners and discipline these Brat’s would not behave as they do.

Brat’s should be banned.

I don't like those Bratz dolls. I think they are hideous and of course my nieces love them. With their banning, does this mean that they are now a collector's item?

I don't care for them either but my girls love do. They both rejected Barbie in favor of the Bratz.

The bratz have more "flava". They don't look realistic but I'll bet most girls relate more to them than Barbie.

I know the Bratz feet and lips are exagerated, but who is shaped like Barbie?

Are they really that arrogant to think that if they eliminate the Bratz people will just run to Barbie?

Okay, let's ban the Bratz. Now, how can we ban those idiot valley girls who won't give us a second of peace on their damned cell phones as we try to enjoy a meal? Di we have to use cell-phone jammers?

Bratz dolls were banned because the designer originally designed them during his employement with Mattel, making them the design property of Mattel. The designer left Mattel and took the design to a competing company and millions with a design he had no legal right to. Mattel sued and won and Bratz dolls are not to be manufactured any more because only Mattel had rights to the design.

My ISP bounces all around from SC to Jax. I live near Green Cove, but it's still about 30 miles from my town.

do we know if he designed them specifically for mattel? did mattel turn down the original idea because they were banking on barbie and now want to change their mind now that barbie got screwed? hahaha...sickos....did he develop the bratz on his own time while working at mattel? and tommy...you need to stop fondling the bratz dolls and tell mrs, salami to just dress like one.

This is ridiculous especially considering " Alleged Barbie Creator" Ruth Handler stole the idea from Bild Lilli dolls in the late 50's. She went to Germany on vacation saw the Bild Lilli doll came back to America copied it and called it Barbie. Mattel "acquired" =(bullied) the rights to the Bild Lilli doll in 1964 and production of Lilli was stopped. Mattel is a bully and has been since day one. I have been a doll collector for 14 years. I use to collect vintage Barbie's & rare barbies. But I don't like the way they lie about manufacturing a limited amount and then turn around a produce way more. Which significantly drops the dolls value. So I have sold all my Barbie's and now collect Fashion Royalty dolls. My daughter cant stand Barbie's, She loves Bratz, She is going to be devastated. Mattel has been screwing over companies since the 50's. Mattel doesn't need the money I'm so sick of corporate greed now our kids have to suffer because they cant handle competition. Hey, Mattel how about stepping up your game produce better quality dolls! Oh no that would be too easy you'd rather eliminate all competition, So children have no choice but to but your dolls. I hope this backfires on Mattel. Kids these days arent stupid they want quality. Who wants Spam when youve had Steak. Mattel is monopolizing the whole doll market, I say boycott Barbie. Mattel is a shady company I will never purchase another Barbie again. To all the people that believe an inadament object can define your child make them be a slut or hoochie you are sadly mistaken. If you raise your child properly & teach them morals they wont have to look up to a doll. I know many sluts & hoochies a doll didn't make them that way. Bad parenting did

One of the sad part is that actually Mattel first rejected the design and now that they had success they can't stand it.

Daily Horoscope for May 18

Is a relationship getting dull and predictable? If so, it's time to inject some spontaneity into it, preferably by doing things on the spur of the moment and taking a few risks. Maybe you should go out for a meal for a change. There could also be a surprise in store when you realize you're attracted to someone who's totally different from your usual type.
