As soon as my friend clued me into why my last pack sucked so bad, I bought a pack of zigzags. I went home and emptied the tobacco from my cigarette butts in the ashtray and I made a cigarette like I remember them tasting. I guess we all adapt and learn to roll our own cigs. I've heard from veteran smokers its a cheaper way to go. I don't see all of us smokers marching on Capitol Hill to protest. But I do see us finding loop holes and crawling in them for our 5 minute smoke break. Good luck to you fellow smokers.

My husbands cousin pointed it out and explained what i't was.SO then i figured out why my smoke was going out and last night, I told my husband I think the cigs are causing my headaches!! making feel crappy. I am a migraine suffer and i have had this headache come back over and over. This morning i bought a box of Camels and made sure before i paid for them their was no FSC marked on the box. I have had NO headache today!! I cant imagine what is in the Marlboro smokes that i have smoked for 14 yrs. If anyone finds out PlEASE let us know!! We have a right to know what we are smoking! OMG! I kept thinking I would get used to them, but I absolutely cannot smoke another one. I have been smoking the same Marlboro light brand for over 10-15 years. My throat did get sore & I thought I was coming down with something. Then, someone told me about the change. They taste completely different and I am wondering where I can get old ones ( around 2 weeks or so!) Sounds stupid, but curious.

I was able to buy a couple packs of NON FSC's in softpack (not my usual) I pointed it out to the clerk. He didn't know what I was talking about! I asked for non FSCs and he's like, what??? I just finished my second carton of FSCs and smoking these NONs is like heaven again! That's it, I'm gonna try to roll my own when these run out! If everyone quits buying these things, either by quitting or rolling their own, maybe Marlboro and others will take notice and we can get something done about it??! It's still WE THE PEOPLE, right?!

According to my customer, when you look at the barcode on the box or soft pack if you see FSC or FCS it means the new chemical is in that box of ciggs.

Here's a Q. What's gonna happen when those non-FSCs run out at that shop, considering more Big Tobacco companies are voluntarily making their brands FSC? And not to mention the Carolinas will be selling FSCs at the start of 2010?

At this shop, the brands will be non-FSCs for a very long time. Oh yeah, a carton price at this shop is even a lot less than the prices at that Carolina smoke shop. A non-FSC carton here is less than 20 bucks.

blackhawktobaccoshop.com

When you factor in the shipping costs, you really ain't saving money on buying cig cartons at that Carolina smoke shop. Their carton prices are no different from the cost of buying a carton offline.

If you think paying 40-50 bucks for a carton of chemical cigs are real cigs, YOU are wrong.

Did you know Big Tobacco brands always had chemicals in them? If you don't believe me, just spend some time googling.

The majority of the price for that carton at Carolina is mainly taxes. Take the taxes away, and a carton of cigs is only 15 bucks.

Thanks for the laugh if you think you buying real cigs just because they're non-FSC Winstons or Marlboros. You are seriously hooked onto the chemicals in those cigs. Native cigs are enjoyable. But they ain't addictive as in "I need this cig NOW!"

Enjoy those non-FSCs while you can. Because whatcha gonna do when the Carolinas start selling FSCs? Just quit smoking just because you can't find a brand with the same chemicals as a Marlboro or a Winston? LOL!!!

At least Carolina cartons sell some Native brands themselves you can try for yourself.

After I took a look at the ingredients RJR and PM put into their non-FSCs, I can see why antis want the FDA to start regulating cigs.

A definition of a real cig is one that has tobacco in it and nothang else to keep you addicted to that cig. There's nicotine in there. But Natives don't add extra amounts of nicotine unlike Big Tobacco..

Big Tobacco companies add chemicals into their cigs to keep people addicted to that brand. The fact you told me "While Native cigs are non-FSC, they are not Marlboro or Winston" confirms you addicted to what's inside of that non-FSC Marlboro or Winston.

I'm sure if Big Tobacco made their cigs additive-free and chemical-free decades ago, sure millions of people would still buy the Marlboros or Winstons. But a Marlboro smoker would be trying other regular brands instead of having the attitude of "I'm smoking ONLY Marlboros."

If the companies didn't care what brand you smoke, they wouldn't bother adding more things into those Marlboros to keep you especially hooked on Marlboros.

Antismokers would never have liked the idea of natural Marlboros or Winstons. It's been said before a cig with nothing but tobacco in it poses no health risks. It's the other ingredients in that premade cig that poses health risks. Antis don't want a cig brand that has little risks to smokers' health. Because they don't wanna see MORE people smoking.

Thanks to FSCs and more smokers either quitting or switching to REAL cigs (roll your own and/or Native brands), antis don't have to worry about more people smoking then.

If I want a real cig, it's not even a non-FSC Marlboro (let alone an FSC one). I broke down a non-FSC Marlboro once, and that cig had a lot more other ingredients in it instead of tobacco. I thought tobacco was the main ingredient in non-FSCs made in America by Big Tobacco. But based on my research including online research, I was wrong.

I'm sorry for laughing at you. But based on the number of cig brands I tried over the years including rolling my own, I think I know what a TRUE "real cig" really is. Because I'm more interested in smoking tobacco. Not hundreds of chemicals made to look like tobacco.

Winstons call themselves additive-free. After spending some time smoking a regular I made myself vs. smoking a non-FSC Winston, I think I know which cig tastes like it's all tobacco for real...and it wasn't Winstons.

Even a Native regular cig tastes more like I'm smoking actual tobacco than a non-FSC Winston too. That Winston was the closest big brand that tasted like actual tobacco. But it also tasted like something else was in that non-FSC Winston that I didn't taste in a REAL nonmenthol cig.

"I have tryed all 3 brands before, and they are just not as good as a Marlboro."

That's because you're hooked to smoking the chemicals in Marlboro Lights. It takes time for your body to get used to smoking a REAL light cig. If you spent more time smoking packs of a natural light cig, I bet you would hate the way the MLs taste then.

99 percent of the other online smokers who tried Senecas in particular all said that brand tastes just about as good as Marlboros. Seneca Lights actually taste like Marlboro Lights (non-FSCs) exactly, minus the extra chemicals that are in the Marlboro Lights.

I also hope that Carolina shop doesn't report customers' orders. A lot of these online tobacco shops say they don't report orders. But very few of em are actually telling the truth on that topic. Some of these shops who DO report will wait for several months to pass before they actually do so.

When a shop reports orders, that defeats the purpose of buying cigs online period...which is to save money.

BTW, Skydancer is more comparable with the taste of Benson and Hedges. So I can see that brand not tasting like Marlboro.

I just became aware of the FSC additive in the Marlboros I smoke. I knew NH was going to implement the law to have cigarettes fire supressent. However, I have researched FDA's web site and could not find anything that explains the technology nor additives to make them FSC. New Hampshire's law makers also implemented a no-smoking policy in public places and restaurants contrary to many business owners and citizens objections.
I have noticed a marked difference in the taste, harshness, and after effects of the FSC Marlboros. Alos to keep one lit, you need to constantly "suck" on it and "puff". Doing so, causes a burning sensation on my lips and in my throat.
I have written Phillip Morris and asked for the FDA approvals on the additive and have asked for information on the process of adding the special ingredient.
Mush ado and news media coverage was made in New Hampshire about the smoking ban legislation, BUT NOWHERE IS THERE ANYTHING GIVING WARNING OF THE ILL EFFECTS OF THE FSE ADDITIVE.
If PM-USA cannot give me a streight answer and the FDA has no test data, I will press for a federal and state investigation into wether MY RIGHTS were violated and as to the reason that this additive was approved without announcing it.
I AGREE WITH CHAPPY THAT THIS IS GROUNDS FOR A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AS WELL AS CRIMINAL CHARGES AGAINST THE STATE.
I agree, Texas has the same smokes, just recently. Add me to your lawsuit. There are no answers and I am tired of being treated like scum because I CONSIDERATELLY smoke outside. Walk into a mall and smell the intolerable stink of every parfuemery and cosmetics outlet not to mention the consumers.

I am sure I am hooked on teh Chemicals in Marlboro Lights. I have smoked them for 22 years.

I like the Senecas best out of the 3, and I most likely will switch to them in 2010.

I just think my Marlboro Lights are a real smooth tasting cig, even with the extra chemicals, just not the FSC ones.

Thanks for all the info, I didn't mean to get on you, but when I first read your blog and went to Black Hawk, I thought they had Non FSC Marlboro Lights for under $20. No biggie.

I get my Marlboro Lights for just about $36.50 including the shipping. Alot better than what I pay in Massachusetts and NON FSC.

I will swith over to Seneca's sometime in 2010, or just get the will power to quit. I will however stock pile before the end of this year so I have enough NON FSC to get through most of 2010 and hope they repeal the FSC law or make it better so I cannot tell the difference between FSC and NON FSC.

Thanks again for the info. Ijust wanted to share my info as well.
