Marlboro cigarettes don't stay lit

I smoke Marlboro menthols and this has not happened to me. I don't know if it's the area you live in, but my friends haven't had this problem either. That sounds bad though.. and annoying.

YES a bad cough and throwing up in the mornings cant stop.
I have been smoking for over 25 years.
they go out.They fall apart and keep burning, my mouth tastes like crap. what the heck man I pay for this crap....I tried other brands and there the same.
Please does anyone know where to buy the old cigs or something?

I've noticed this too, though it ONLY happens with Marlboro Reds. Everytime I flick them they burn out and I have to puff and puff to keep it lit. I had a light a few minutes ago and it didn't go out on me. Same with Camel's.

I have the same problem with my Marlboro 27's. My cig will burn out if I'm not smoking it quick enough, killing the whole relaxing effect of smokin

Not only do they not stay lit,but sometimes the end falls out .I.ve burned holes in 3 bottom shees on my bed.Plus when you go to relite some of them let off with such a flash. My bangs weburne and i got a good burn in the middlle of my farhead.Im 65 years old,im not a new smoker,and boy i hope they fix what ever it is they have done.([e-mail]

ive noticed this too with most cigarettes. i stick to roll-ups, they tend to stay lit. they dont leave that bad taste as cigarettes do. and they are cheaper.

This topic came up a a bar last night. We all said the same thing,"These cigs keep going out, what's going on".
We were all Marlboro smokers. My 100's go out about half way down.
We use cigarettes at work to burn mattresses. You know the classic faal a sleep with a lit cig and the mattress catches fire. We use Pall Mall non filtered and they seem to stay lit for their whole length. Good thing to, cause if they go out, we have to put another one on the mattress.

people should complain that they can't quit and they hate smoking not about it going out. i smoke and ya i know it is annoying but this seems alot like someone is tryin to tel us smokers something. i mean hello!? the states are tryin not only to stop us from burning things down and killin other people they're tellin us to stop killin ourselves. i hate cigarettes and this would just be the way i finaly get to quit. They make me sick and don't stay lit, they don't even give you the same satisfaction that they used to. what's the fuckin point.

Since major tobacco manuf's are undoubtedly not above using chemicals and additives who knows what changes they had to make to their tobacco. Yick.

You can get good old regular burning Marlboro cigs out of Nevada. I bought a carton when I was there last week. To bad I already went thru them and had to buy the crappy ones here in Cali.
