Hey guys, I'm sort of new to smoking, I just started about 2 or 3 months ago. and I was wondering what's the difference between like marlboro red 72s and just like regular marlboro reds? Does the tobacco taste different? Or is it just the size of the cigarette?

Does anyone know what the difference between Marlboro's menthol 72's? Other than one is in a blue box and the other is in a green box...neither one say light and I've tried both and can't tell any difference.

Shorter filter = more potent drag.
Shorter cigarette = less to smoke (I call them "smoke break" cigarettes)
There is a slight taste difference.

Has anyone noticed that sometimes the Marlboro 72 lights sometimes have a white filter and sometimes have a brown filter or are they just selling me the wrong cigs? I have compared the boxes and the boxes appeared to be the same. Just wondering.

No matter what form of tobacco, all are deadly and contain the same kind of ingriedients. Surprisingly, even "light" tobacco contains the same amounts, if not more, of addictive nicotine than that of "regular" tobacco products.

Unfortunately, there isn't anything "regular" about what the tobacco industries are doing: They are addicting countless new smokers, maintaining old ones by increasing nicotine drug levels, and constantly exposing our youth to second-hand smoke. It is wrong and nobody can protest that murder is a good thing.

The only way we can defy tobacco norms is if we defy the tobacco companies. Because the tobacco industries are constantly killing off smokers, they have to decieve others, the new generation of children, into using their product.

So is there a real difference between these and the "regular" tobacco? Or is it all just how we percieve it? Are we letting tobacco become such a norm that we constantly overlook it as a concern to our constantly growing society?

I know that there is a blue and a green 72 I have read all of the answers and no one seems to tell you what is the difference between the blue and green WE KNOW 72's are shorter but bothe blue and green are menthol and nothing else is noted as making them different other than do you like a blue box or a green box????

i think it used to be one or the other and then they changed it. the ultra light 72s also used to have a brown filter and now it looks identical to the regular ultra light.

I know from experience that the 72 reds taste better to me and for some reason they dont hurt my throat like the normal marb reds do i dont know if its because they use less of that FSC(fire safe cigarette)crap or what, but as soon as I started back on reg reds the first pack i now have a sore throat and am coughing, this happens everytime-so no more reg reds for me .

old thread yes but just stating...I am soooooooooooooooo sick of damn anti smoking do gooders our life our choice and atleast we aren't killing people when we hop behind a wheel of a car...how bout this then we will compromise...ban alcohol ban tobacco and make weed legal since there are no chemicals or tar in weed...and the majority of things said about it are myths from the government as scare tactics which research and in depth study have disproved the only reason its not legal today...is because the government wouldn't be able/know how to regulate it to maximise their profits, nuff said.
