Smokers have rights to- are there any non-fsc Cigs out there?

People, this frightens me. These fsc cigs. There gonna kill us and nobody cares. I knew we needed to control our population but really don't think this is a good way to do it. Any attorney got enough balls out there to sue the goverment? Because it sure as hell needs sueing over this. People that drink kill so many more people than smokers. Well so far they've sorta tried to keep it under the table they will do just about anything for money. Guess it's clear now. There willing to kill us for it. If not kill us can you imagin the medical bills because of these fsc cigs. Geez we have some really sick sick people here trying to control others. And i'm sure they'd say it's for you own good. People lets think about this. Cigeretts are a consumer product right? We consume them, the FDA is suppose to test them. Now if a product came on the market that causes all the problems these so called FSC do. The FDA would be all over this to ban them to the public as unsafe for consumers. So this tells us a lot about the money behind this and the FDA. If there willing to allow a product on the market that's making so many people sick. What else are they allowing on the market to so call make us feel better or heal us. It seems to me that the FDA can no longer be trusted with our health at all. I'm in no position to stop this but someone needs to. Cigeretts yes are bad for your health, but these new FSC are killers. Our own goverment might as well send us overseas to die with our fighting boys and girls. HOW CAN THE FDA APPROVE SOMETHING THAT'S MAKING SO MANY PEOPLE SICK!!!!! AND RIGHT AWAY TO????? WHAT IN GODS NAME IS GOING ON HERE?

I thought I was going crazy when my Kools wouldn't stay lit and tasted like crud. Thanks for your posts...I finally googled. My old man smokes Camels and they are now doing the same thing. Seems Illinois passed this "don't die in fire, die from our new cigs" law for 2008.

Just to add to everyones comments...I have had an ear, nose and throat "infection" and a terrible cough which the doc has been treating with antibiotics. Of course, the antibiotics are not helping because.........it is from these damn cigs!!!!! My eyes were even plastered shut every morning for 3 days...this after half a carton in a week!!!!

Do I quit smoking now? Well for three days I have (and my ears, eyes and throat do feel better)....BUT, I am a 59 year old woman that thought I lived in a free country, and I enjoy my cig with my coffee, etc. Not anymore!! They taste like crap!!!

What is with our country? Why are we allowing ourselves to be told what to do...when and how to do it? Back to the FSC thing.....What about candles? Should they self extinguish too? Relight them every 2 minutes? Kerosene heaters? Hmmmm maybe we shouldn't use electricity either? Wrap our wires in some stupid extra paper and put some chemicals in them? Oh I know, I am rambling, but I am really upset after reading all of this information.

I am also one of those people that believe it should be my choice as to whether or not I wear a seat belt in a car or a helmet on a motorcycle......but BIG BROTHER doesn't agree with me I guess.

So? What do we do?

i just got lucky and found 2 cartons of my fav brand that are not full of that fsc shit i gave my other carton away shit made me sick. Well ill enjoy these slowly because illinois wont sell the other kind no more so its quit or indiana here i come. Its sad that i have to choose to quit or drive a hour to to smoke a cigarette that wont harm me no joke if you smoke the fsc cigs you will be paying for it down the ROAD SAD BUT TRUE. I see a big law suit filed if these states that passed this dont listen to the people that a have smoked the fsc they taste bad hurt your throat give you a tight chest people use your own judgement but im not going to smoke these no way. This all brands sold in illinois i could live with the smoking ban but now this cant even enjoy smoking in my own home. well take care all maybe this is the end of the smokers one way or the other.

if we smokers boycott cigarettes for a week, what will happen to the economy. Do we need to boycott longer. How long would a boycott have to last in order for lawmakers to see the folly in their ways. The FSC cigarettes are just plain awful. THERE WILL be a class action lawsuit against the government in the near future. How can they take such an addictive habit and just smear nasty chemicals into our lungs and get away with it?

FSC: F'in Stupid Cigarettes. It is a joke! What a crock of crap. Yea, I am still smoking them right now, but only becase I am addicted and I can not get my hands on a real cigarette. They have NO business marketing FSC as a Class A Cigarette anymore either! Class A my ass! I give them a big FAT "F". Taste like your smoking dirt. i dont live by you guys, but i find if you look for a soft pack, i have been finding that nobody like's to smoke them .and because of that they dont sell ..more likely to be no fsc..i had to switch from marb lights to basic lights ,then ultra lights.or go to wisconsn to get the cigs there. that law hasnt taken effect there yet. i was so tired of being sick..i think a class action law suit is in order .i know many others that are still sick...

I have talked to at least 5 people who all encountered either gum infections, sore throats, or headaches upon having to switch to these horrible cigs. I say we find a Lawyer and file a class action law suit against whoever claims this paper to be safe. With this many people getting sick it cannot be coincidence

i think they did this so we burn our faces off trying to lite the cig back up after it goes out , have you seen the cost on medical expences , we pay taxes on cigs , then we have to go to the doctor for sickness and burns , and the doctors pay the taxes on that as well as us that smoke , it a money ploy , im quitting in a week . these fsc cigs dont prevent fires at all , thats was just theyre excuse for this bs .

I had to quit. They gave me headaches, migraines, and get this.. Trigeminal Neuralgia.. google it.. the suicide disorder... tingling, burning, pain down the side of my head because the nerve became inflamed, all because the government decided cigarettes cause too many fires. I cut back to less than a smoke a day and as of April 21 I'm completely smoke free... guess what? No headaches, migraines, or nerve inflammation since. After suffering for months, tryin medication after medicatin from my doctor, meds that made me gain weight, meds that made my hair fall out, meds that didn't work, vicadin for months. They've done it on purpose to make the rest of the smokers quit. If something makes you sick.. usually you stop doing it. Eventually there won't be any brands that are non FSC.
